Pregnancy In its context and claim

Literary, pregnancy is a gift from God and the period is assumed to be  supposed to be one of the happiest times of any woman or any couple’s life. Bringing a baby into the world is a wondrous thing and, in most cases, that’s exactly how it plays out. However, It is unfortunate that not all pregnancies are perfect, and some aren’t even wanted. At this important time, the chief priority with any clinician is to safeguard the mother and her unborn foetus. Any instance of medical negligence – and the basis for any compensation claims – usually hinges on cases where this safeguarding has not taken place.
Let’s take a look at some of the pregnancy-related procedures which our experience has shown to be the main possible areas of medical negligence:

Cosmetic surgery

A new study has shown that Patients who get facial plastic surgery and assume that they will look younger and more appealing afterward are wrong. In the reasearch, the first to try to quantify attractiveness after a face-lift, brow-lift or eyelid surgery, found only a tiny, insignificant increase in attractiveness. The study, published online in JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery on Thursday, also found that patients looked, on average, only three years younger, as judged by independent viewers who assessed photos of patients before and after cosmetic surgery.

New Hospital Gown

Apparently, It isn’t an exact cure for cancer or HIV either, but it’s big news for patients, nonetheless. Finally, a new and decent hospital gown has been designed by someone.

“It’s warmer, it closes in the front, it’s much easier to put on and patients feel much more secure and have a sense of privacy which is nice,” says Michael Forbes, product designer for the Henry Ford Innovation Institute and lead designer on the project.

Medical negligence solicitor

Medical negligence otherwise known as clinical negligence is a breach of duty of care by healthcare professionals.
Medically, it’s quite simple. When you’re treated by someone working in the healthcare profession, you’re embarking on a contract of sorts known as duty of care, where you’re entrusting them to give you the best possible medical attention and care they can provide. Whether it’s a doctor or surgeon, a dentist, pharmacist or care home attendant, all of them are bound by law to attend to your needs to the best of their abilities.

Medical Negligence and Malpractice

Medical Negligence and Malpractice according Maurice Blackburn, are the leading Medical Negligence lawyers in Australia occur when the treatment provided by a health service provider (such as a hospital, doctor, dentist, pharmacist, etc.) falls below an acceptable standard. Medicine is a complicated practice and health service providers are not expected to be perfect.

Negligence and Malpractice: two often interchangeable terms

Medical Malpractice and negligence are two concepts often used interchangeably and confusingly, but there are some distinct differences between them.

Negligence is a failure to exercise the care that a reasonably prudent person would exercise in like circumstances. In tort law, negligence applies to harm caused by carelessness, not intentional harm.
Malpractice is a type of negligence; it is often called "professional negligence". It occurs when a licensed professional (like a doctor, lawyer or accountant) fails to provide services as per the standards set by the governing body ("standard of care"), subsequently causing harm to the plaintiff.

Medical Lawyer in view

According to Wikipedia, Medical law is the branch of law which concerns the prerogatives and responsibilities of medical professionals and the rights of the patient. It should not be confused with medical jurisprudence, which is a branch of medicine, rather than a branch of law.
The main branches of medical law are the law on confidentiality, negligence and torts in relation to medical treatment (most notably medical malpractice), and criminal law in the field of medical practice and treatment. Ethics and medical practice is a growing field.
